First Post

Heres my first post, kinda stoked so lets get it started. Im gonna comment on sports stories mostly that happen here in San Diego but occasionally will go off the grid and talk about something that happened around the country. I might be the biggest Padre fan so im going to start with them. The Padres are now looking like a contender... for the toilet bowl. Theyre in the midst of a season long 7 game losing streak with no end in sight. The bullpen has not been up to snuf ( we miss you mike adams) and the hitting which has been so good lately has suddenly gone cold. Its sometimes hard to watch when your most accomplished pitcher of the season throws 6 walks... in one inning. These Padres that play in Petco National Park need to have a great September so they can get momentum heading into the 2012 season. Lets move on now to the Chargers. The final game of the preseason is against the straight shootin 49ers. Parking lot vendors beware, this team is coming guns a blazing. All puns aside, this game has very little meaning. It would be nice to see Brian Walters(13) have a good night so he could make the final 53 and not end in the situation where we released Wes Welker and look how he turned out. The running game is the biggest question mark this season but if Mathews can learn to love the football, he wont let it slip out of his hands. Dont expect much from the starters but to notch a W tonight would give the Chargers players and fans some momentum heading into the season. I predict the Chargers win 28 to 17.
