NFL Game Picks and MLB trade rumors and Free agent signings

Hey everyone, first things first, thanks for checking out the blog. So far as of this post I have hit the 360 view mark which is awesome. In today's post I will be covering anything from NFL game picks to the Chargers WOES!!! to the Padres and MLB trade rumors and free agent signings. Also, shout out to my dodgeball team Montezumas Revenge. If you would like to check out the draft video, the link is right here. Now onto the show.

CHARGERS: Wow we suck. Our offense has no rhythm, our defense plays solid but seems to give up the big play. We are losing terribly because of the bad play at offensive line. I put the blame on AJ Smith for this one. Our GM has not drafted an offensive lineman higher than the fifth round since we got Marcus McNeill. It's difficult when we have players like Rex Hadnot starting on our O-line. Who is that. Bad enough we start an undrafted free agent rookie at the left tackle position in Mike Harris. Many of our losses can be traced to bad O-line. It is not all Rivers' fault. Any quarterback with our line will have a miserable season. So I am blaming the coaches as are most of if not all of you. Frankly, Turner should have been fired during our bye week but him as well as Smith should be shown the door hopefully the day following our last game of the season. My rant is now done. We are playing the Steelers in Pittsburgh and usually it does not end well for us there. Worse news, Ben Roethlisberger is looking like he will suit up and be out on the field for the game. Damn, Charlie Batch was our only hope. Oh well. If Mathews and Rivers gel on offense, we have a chance but like previous weeks, I don't see it ending well for the Bolts.

NFL GAME PICKS:
Congrats to Jeff for winning last weeks Pick 'em. He went a whopping 3-2  in game picks. He successfully picked Cincinnati, Green Bay and Washington. Good job. I went 2-3, Dave and McCall tied for last with a 1-4 record. Better pick it up. As usual, we pick the difficult games which makes winning records all more impressive. It would be too easy to pick Denver vs Oakland or New England vs Buffalo every week. If you want to pick the games, comment with your selections in the comment section BELOW. Here we go.

1. Dallas at Cincinnati
Tony Romo and the Cowboys had an impressive victory over the Eagles( actually not that impressive but they won nonetheless). The Bengals took down the Chargers and are in position to compete for a playoff spot. This game will come down to who has the best offense.
Curtis: Dallas           Dave: Dallas                McCall: Dallas                                Jeff: Cincinnati

2. Chicago at Minnesota
The giant killer known as Russel Wilson has taken down yet another MVP candidate in Jay Cutler last week as the Bears lost to the Seahawks. Cutler looks for a bounce back week but will run in to team AP All Day and their running express. The Vikings will have to be effective at running the ball and utilize the play action to beat the Bears. I just don't see it happening. The Bears D is too good.
Curtis: Chicago          Dave: Chicago            McCall: Minnesota                          Jeff: Minnesota

3. New Orleans at New York Giants
The Saints are just terrible. Does Sean Payton really matter that much. We should give Robert Meachem back, just take him, really, he is terrible. The Giants lost a close one to Bob Griffin the third and will look to bounce back. The better running game wins here.
Curtis: New York         Dave: New York             McCall: New Orleans              Jeff: New York

4. Baltimore at Washington
While Baltimore got embarrassed by Charlie Batch, the Redskins won on Monday Night Football against the Giants. RG3 is having a great season and his style of shot gun passes and option runs are something the Skins look to continue to take advantage of. The Ravens will have to rely on "Mr Elite," Joe Flacco and Ray Rice if they want a shot at winning this game.
Curtis: Baltimore         Dave: Baltimore             McCall: Baltimore                        Jeff: Washington

5. Houston at New England
Wow what a game this may be. Monday Night Football will house the likely top two seeds in the AFC and favorites for the Super Bowl. The Patriots will show off their unstoppable pass attack while the Texans will employ their strong rushing attack along with the top defense in the country. This will be game of the week.
Curtis: New England         Dave: Houston              McCall: New England           Jeff: New England

MLB & PADRES:
It is the winter meetings this week for baseball and there will be a plethora of trades and free agent signings across the league. The big story-lines are about where Josh Hamilton will end up, a possible R.A. Dickey trade and who will the Padres acquire to help bolster their outfield or pitching staff.
Josh Hamilton- I think he will either end up back with the Rangers or he will start a new career in Boston. Boston is rebuilding and has the money to sign Hamilton.
R.A. Dickey- The National League Cy Young award winner may also be on his way to Beantown. The Red Sox have expressed interest in the knuckleballer and with his contract up after this next season, he will not have higher value than he does now.

Padres- We have resigned SP Jason Marquis and are continuing to look for one more starting pitcher either via trade or the free agent market. There has been some talk about possibly working out a deal with the Indians for one of two starting pitchers being Ubaldo Jimenez or Justin Masterson. Both would be good fits to our ever improving team. As more gets announced, I will update accordingly.

That is all for this sports wrap up today. Be sure to subscribe to my blog, comment, share, like blah blah blah. Also, the "Hack-a-Dwight" sweepstakes are in full swing. haha #gokings. Vote in my poll to the right here. Overall, thanks. Peace out Mike Trout.
